Origin Story: Traditionally Made Pepper Chicken Masala

In the heart of Tamil kitchens, there is one dish that speaks of warmth, health, and bold flavour — the timeless Pepper Chicken.

Long before packaged spices existed, grandmothers would hand-pound native black pepper, cumin, and aromatic herbs in stone grinders, crafting the perfect masala to awaken both the body and soul.

Pepper was not just a spice — it was medicine, prized for its healing warmth, especially during monsoons and cold seasons. Cooked with care and served with hot rice or soft rotis, this dish brought families together, filling the home with rich, spicy aromas.

Inspired by these cherished traditions, I have created this Traditionally Made Pepper Chicken Masala Powderslow-roasted, stone-ground, and blended in small batches.

No artificial colours. No shortcuts. Just the real taste of Tamil heritagebold, earthy, and unforgettable.

Bring home the flavours of tradition — and cook pepper chicken the way it was meant to be enjoyed.

Tasty even reheated

Leftovers were still crispy the next day. That’s rare with fried dishes!

Great combo with chutney

Paired it with mint chutney and it was divine. The contrast of spicy and cool was perfect.

Tastes like it’s roasted fresh

There's that slight smokiness you get only when spices are freshly ground. Can really feel the difference.

Tastes like it’s hand-ground

You can actually feel the texture difference. Like it's freshly pounded, not machine-made.
